I run an antique auction and am currently trying to install a wireless network.
We run multiple auctions at once over 23 acres 2 auctions outside in which we use golf carts to sell rows of furniture and house hold items. on each gold cart i want to use a wireless IP address camera to record our sale to our building. each camera records at roughly 2gigs per hour. i also have two auctions going on inside our main building in which 2 more IP Address camera would be used. So 4 cameras. we would also be running 4 laptops connecting wirelessly to our terminal server. the 4 laptops are only sending texts no video or internet just text through Microsoft access.
I currently am running one wireless ip address camera of a normal linksys router 802.11g just like the one i use at home. Because all of our wireless cameras are attached to golf carts and are mobile they are ran off battery power and are only used one day a week so they are brought online and offline frequently. i find now that when i try and find my camera with the software at the beginning of use if my laptop or any thing else is wirelessly connected to the network the camera cannot connect to the network. If nothing is wirelessly connected the camera is found and runs as it should. Once the camera is online laptops and other devices can be brought online with no problems.
