Default I can't access anymore an open wifi network

Hello all , i have the following problem. The university give us
free internet through wifi in the hotels we live. So there is
an open wifi network that we connect. Everything
was ok since one day i couldn't connect anymore. I can find
the wifi network but it doesnt let me connect. This happened to
both my pc's. My friends can still enter so does my iphone. So
i believe that because in the begining many guys had access to
the router (they didn't set password whrn they installed it) someone
blacklisted me. There is no technical help so can anaybody tell me
if there is a way to do something? I really need the internet here..

thnx in advance.

Software setting on your computer - thats what it sounds like to me: start from the begining: take your wireless card out and uninstall the wireless card software.

Then reinstall it, switch off the computer, put the card back in, restart and follow the instructions on restart when the computer finds the new hardware (your reinstalled wireless card).

If that doesn;t work then time to check all your Windows wireless settings.

You dont say which version of Widows you are running - is it XP? Try the above, if it doesnt ork come back with the version of windows you are running, and I'll run the the Windows wireless network settings with you, and how they should be configured.
Good Luck
