Default Keep getting acquiring network on wireless

I have accessed wireless network successfully from my laptop in the past,however the i am not able to get on to WIFI from one particular SSID.

it keeps giving me acquiring network message and than nothing happens, strangly i can connect to same wireless router thru a cable and it works..
i am confused pls help

There's wireless security on the network, probably a MAC address filter, which doesn't recognise your machine and so won't let it join wirelessly.
