Laptop can't find MY network but picks up all my neighbours'!
I could really do with some help please!?
Basically, I live in student accommodation and share my internet with around 6 flats. Every flat has their own internet with different network keys etc. To gain access you have to pay and then I assume they put your mac address on the 'allow list'. Now for some reason, my flat doesn't work like that and any computer that knows the network key can connect. That is apart from my laptop, the laptop just doesn't pick up the network at all. I can see all the other networks from the other flats but not mine. I've googled around for a while and can't find any solution. I've Changed my mac address. I've reset network settings. Updated the driver on my wireless card. I even turned my wireless on and off.
I am running Vista.
My wireless is Intel(R) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN
I was told it could have something to do with the channel the network is on?
Any suggestions please?!?
