Default Laptop Drops Connection to only One Network

My laptop at my home has trouble keeping connected to my wireless network. It recognizes it and connects, but then I have time to visit one webpage or whatnot before the connection drops. I have not encountered this problem with my laptop on any other network than the one in my home. But I have numerous devices in my home that have no problem staying on the network (Xbox 360, PS3, PCs, cellphones). Distance is not an issue, because the PCs that are wirelessly connected to the network are down in my basement while my router is on the main floor, and I can be sitting next to the router with my laptop and the problem will occur.

I've tried the basic steps to fixing the problem, like resetting the router, disabling/enabling my wireless card. I have DSL at my home, run through ATT U-Verse, and the router is one supplied by ATT, a 2Wire G router. Any suggestions on what to do, because having to plug in my laptop via ethernet is killing me!
