Hi all
First time poster, looking to get some advice on my wifi issue.
BB supplier: Virgin Media 60mb
Speed is fine, and wifi is alright throughout most of my house, but simply in my room it is awful. I get it occassionally, but it'll continually drop.
I've got a fair few devices running simultaneously.
I used to simply have a Belkin N router connected to an old webstar modem, but since I upgraded my broadband I got supplied a new superhub, which on its own was shocking - no reception at all.
I then phoned VM to use superhub as only a modem, and use the belkin as my wifi router.
The iphone is what is struggling to pick up wifi upstairs.
I'd link to the various options I'm looking at, but I'm not allowed
Anyway, items are:
TP-Link TL-ANT2405C £5
TP-Link TL-WA701ND £23
Ultra-Gain Directional Dish Wi-Fi Antenna @ maplins £24
Compact High Gain Directional Corner Antenna for Wireless Networks @ maplins £20
I'm happy to spend in the £20 for something which will do what I need it to
- ie boost my wifi signal and eliminate deadspots.
Does anyone else have any other suggestions?
Thanks a lot!
