Linksys router and NIC lost connection for no reason

Just signed up here, hoping maybe somebody here has a similar problem.

For starters i am not beginner when it comes to computers so its not that lol.

i got a linksys wireless router/modem WAG200G and a linksys NIC WMP54G.
now every once in a while they lose connection for no obvious reason.
both devices are new(but that does not mean it cant be hardware related).

i tried making sense out of it why it does it or when it does.
but its completly random, at one point everything is working perfect signal constantly at 70-80% then at some point the NIC just cant find the router anymore.
after a few seconds/minutes it just pops back up and it connects again.


anybody familiar with this kind of problem?
