Linksys wrt54gl Cannot get wan access despite wireless connection
HI all,
My desktop PC cannot access the internet, despite the fact that I have full access to the router, I can log on to the router. If I use the wired connection to the router everything works fine. I can use another computer to the same router and I have no problem either. I use tomato firmware.
As far as I can see I have everything set to dynamic ip. The firewall in windows XP is disabled.
Anyone?
Sorry guys, posting the thread did it... I found the problem by comparing my laptop settings with my desktop, maybe someone else can be helped:
Under Wireless Network Connection/Properties/TCP/IP Settings/Properties/General/Advanced: the Default gateway was set to 192.168.0.1 (was Ok for my old router, the Linksys one has 192.168.1.1.). I removed that entry and it works!!
