Default Is it me or does my PC card suck?

I am familiar with networking to a certain degree, but this one is perplexing. I have a Motorola PC card (it's a 'g') in my desktop and it will get a great connection for about 5 minutes then just drops it. I have to go into the wireless properties, hit "configure" then "Ok" then "ok" again without changing any settings and it reconnects just fine...for another 5 minutes... over and over. I know it is not the router (Linksys 54 G/B with SpeedBooster) because my notebook gets perfect connection and maintains it 24/7. And to be clear, my PC is less than 20 ft away from the router in the same room. Can anything be done or is the adapter just crappy and I need to go buy a new one?

Default

It could be that linksys and motorola don't work well together. Some brands don't tend to work well on the same network.

What card does your notebook have?

Are you running the latest firmware on your router and the latest drivers on your desktop?
