I recently added (or attempted to) a router (D-Link DIR-615) to my system so that I could use my laptop (Vista) as well as my desktop (XP).
The problem I have is, my setup is telling me that I can see my router, PC and laptop in my network map but no internet connection.
The error message I recieve on my desktop is that it detects two network connections, my old internet connection for my desktop (Labelled "
Local Area Connection 6") and my new connection created when I had to enable my Network Interface Card (Labelled "
Local Area Netowrk Connection"). The router setup wizard says that the system cannot run with two connections. I try and disable the older network connection and I lose internet, I disable the newer one and I get connected but away from home connection!!
Help!!
