Default No wifi when lights are on....whaa?

My work sent out an email stating that this customer had issues with their wifi. One of our techs suggested that a energy efficient light was causing the problem when the light was turned on. So the tech turned off the light and the wifi was "avail". I'm guessing they turned it back on and the wifi went away. Is this some BS? Has someone heard of this issue before? The only thing I can think of is that the efficient bulb was put in a lamp/outlet that doesn't support that type of bulb and maybe the lamp fluxes a frequency around the "802.11" area and fills it with noise cutting out the data that's being transferred from router to receiver. I dunno..
