Online but can't surf/chat.

1st things 1st, thanks in advance for any assistance. this is the first time i dealing with wireless & routers no less. i have belkin router connected to my sister's broadband & an belkin adapter on my pc. it shows that i'm online at my pc but i can't sign onto any i/m or use any browsers.

Yeah same thing with mine except I was changing the wireless connection settings back and forth. Now it starting to make me wonder if Belkin is not a good company but eih thats just a side oppinion from my experience.

i know what you mean. come to think of it, i hate talking to tech people whose accents make there english difficult to catch the 1st time around
