Question Pavilion G6 Laptops on W7 unable to connect to Wifi from a NetGear WPN802

I have two Pavilion new G6 Laptops. Both are unable to connect to Wifi from a NetGear WPN802. The wireless access point wifi works ok as it's able been able to connect to Dell laptop, sevaral iPhones and an IPad.

One of the Pavilion's has connected to a different wireless network before (a Thompson TG585v8) without any problems.

But neither of them will connect to the WPN802 wifi.

The network SSID appears in the list but as soon as you click on it the connect button a box pops up staying

Windows was unable to connect to XXXXX.

It does not give you a chance to enter the password or select the security type.

Though I have added the network manually through contol pannel.

I've been through the network trouble shooter which did not identify any problems - the only probems it could find is that none of the networks I've previously connected to are in range and I have not physically pluggin a network cable.

OS is Widows 7 . Both laptops are fully up to date via windows updater.

I have also run the HP suppor assistant v 6.12 which was not able to find any problems (The wireless adapterAtheros AR9485 is listed).

I am completely stuck . Ipconfig /all is below

Any advice is much appreciated
