Problem with wireless, can't see connections in list, but can connect if I enter SSID
As of yesterday, i started having trouble with my laptop's wireless connections. It still tells me when i boot up that wireless networks are detected, and to click on the bubble to view possible connections. When I click the bubble however, the connections screen says no networks are detected. I've upgraded drivers, uninstalled and installed the wireless adapter, used the repair feature several times, and i still can't get the list of networks to appear. However, i have tried manually entering the SSID at my brother's house, where i know the name, and the computer connects to the internet. Sometimes however, it still tells me in the task bar that I am disconnected. I wish to solve this problem of course, to be able to use wireless networks at cafe's etc.
