Question Question with WLAN setup

ok my current setup has my desktop, a laptop, and xbox 360, a wireless router (Blitzz BWA711S), a USB WIFI adapter (Motorola WU830G). Then, my landlord has cable internet which my room mate has plugged his D-Link Wireless Router into, thus allowing wireless internet access to my room mate's computer and mine. My problem is how to access the internet on my other devices like my laptop and xbox without buying more expnsive equipment. What i am currently trying to do is, since my wlan router does not have support for WDS, use my computer to re-direct the internet from the motorola adapter to my router which is wired to my ethernet port. that way i can use the router like a switch. i have tried a few things like bridging the network adapters, messing with my gateway settings, etc. but i am not sure how to achieve this. thanks

All you need to do is share the USB wifi adapter as an internet connection using Windows ICS (if you have 2000 or XP). Right-click the USB wireless connection icon, go to Properties, select the Advanced tab and enable Internet connection sharing.

Just make sure you do not play with the IP address settings with the ICS computer's Ethernet adapter or it will break ICS. You will also need to disable DHCP on your router to prevent it conflicting with ICS.

If the WLAN uses the IP address range 192.168.0.x then this solution will not work unless you install a third-party internet sharing program on the PC.

I've attached a quick diagram that will hopefully explain.
