Default Ralink 802.11n wireless lan card

Hello,

I have a built in Ralink 802.11n wireless lan card that came with my pc. It's signal is really, low. But my router supports 802.11n.

However, my computer is on the ground kind of off to the side and the antenna to the wireless lan card is basically on the ground, and the router is just down the hall a little ways.

What should I do? I'm thinking of getting rid of the Built in Wireless LAN card and just getting a wireless network adapter, that way it can be on my desk and maybe pick up a better signal

What do you guys think?
