Question Setting up connection

I am trying to set up a wireless connection at my house with a router my sister-in-law gave me using DSL. I am trying to use Linksys model WRT54G v 5. I held down the reset button for 40 seconds. I am trying to set up the connection on a desktop using Windows XP. I go to and get the message "management mode firmware upgrade"

I am also getting the message alert "windows -system error There is an IP address conflicy with another system on the network.
