Default sometimes i can connect sometimes not

I have recently installed a pci wireless network card. I am sharing my neighbours wireless internet connection with him. Sometimes I can connect to the internet and other times I canīt. When my neighbour is using the internet I canīt connect to it. If he isnīt using it then I can get onto the internet (like now). If I am using the internet and he connects to the internet then my connection is cut off and then I canīt get back on again until he is finished.

I have spent days trying to make it work properly but canīt figure it out. I am using windows xp and using the wlan utility that came with the network card. I have tried to get rid of the utility so as to use xpīs network connection thing but when i uninstall the utulity it seems to uninstall the hardwear too.

Iīm confussed, please help
