Question Symbiotic Wireless

Hi all,

I have a problem that has me stumped. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have a wireless network that I can connect to with various devices except one desktop pc. It tries to connect but always receives limited access. That is, until a put my laptop next to it, at which point it connects without a problem. This is repeatable and works everytime. Move the laptop away and the connection is dropped. Is the laptop providing some sort of moral support to the desktop? Or is something more technical afoot?

Thank you,

Matt
