Greetings from Bermuda! I have a D-Link WBR-1310 router H/w ver A F/w ver 1.01 with a PC, an I-Mac and a Printer which have all worked fine for a couple of years except that while I am able to receive emails with attachments >1mB I am unable to send emails with large attachments. For example, I may receive a 6mB .wmv file okay but I am unable to forward it on. It appears that the send gets so far then just quits and ends up going nowhere. It happens on both systems hence I am suspecting the router.
If I watch the Norton email scanner (on the PC) it gets about two-thirds of the way through then just dies. Norton Internet Security give me not one but two warning dialog boxes which say "Warning In order to use One Click Support, you must log on to this PC as an administrator". These go away with an OK button and that's that! Obviously, Norton has detected some problem but doesn't offer any clues other than this which is fairly typical. Annoyingly, the email has left the Outbox and is now in the Sent folder as that happens before it gets to the Norton Scanner. This has resulted me in assuming an email has been sent when it hasn't and has caused some embarrassment.
If I turn off Norton Outgoing Email scan, Outlook attempts to send the message, says it's 'Sending message 1 of 1', but never completes and the email just sits in the Outbox. Most frustrating!
