Using another laptop to connect to the internet

My laptop's wireless card is broken so I wanted to use my friend's laptop's wireless connection by setting us up to share through an ethernet cord. I was wondering if his ISP would notice if my computer was using the internet through him and if my computer would provide any info (ISP, MAC address, etc.) to his ISP?
