Default USR9110 major connection issues.

Hi all,

I did not setup this router and whoever did left it unsecured. Anyway I added 3 computers in total (all wireless) and this was when I noticed it was unsecure.

I have little knowledge of networking but decided to give it a go anyway. So I logged into the USR online account and thought I had cracked it by WAP (or WPA whatever it is called) securing my network, But when I went to connect on any computer it would connect then tell me that this connection may not be able to connect fully to the internet as it is restricted.

Ugh, I thought I would have been asked for my password but I never did. Anyway I then hardwired my main PC to the modem and got a connection straight away. Since going back into the settings and restoring it all to factory settings I can't connect to any internet pages. I can connect to the modem and it says the connection is excellent but it will not load any pages. All software firewalls and in fact all security was turned off just to try and get a page to load.

I am using next doors wireless connection to type this. I have just hard reset the USR router by putting a pin in the back for 20 seconds while it was turned on. I had 2 lights flashing constant when i finished, considering I no longer have the original software or manual I really do not know if it worked, so I powered it down and back on again but it still does not let me load up any pages either by ehternet or wireless.

Can anyone help me on this one, cheers. Oh and my default ip I think is 192.168.2.1 but I have typed that back into my adress bar and have forgot how to find my USR login page.

Cheers in advance.

First make sure all the wires went back in the right places.

You will need to get into your router interface and fiddle with the settings.

Here are some tech support documents:
