Wi-fi link keeps dropping

I have an Amilo S notebook computer with wi-fi but the wireless connection to a nearby access point keeps dropping.

Here are a few things that may be relevant:

* Wireless connections to the same access point from my PDA are OK (they don't keep dropping).

* I have installed Intel PROSet/Wireless software release 10.5.0.3 but it makes no difference to the problem.

* When I do have a connection, the signal strength is described as "Excellent".

Can anyone suggest how to fix this problem?

Try changing channels on your wlan. I had a simular problem. My gateway laptop sig got dropped everytime the 2.4mhz cordless phone rang but my wifes toshiba laptop didnt. I changed wlan to channel 8 prob solved.
