Default Wierd problem with desktop wireless

my desktop in school is connected to the room's wireless with no problem at all. When i tried to connect to another wireless (the school's main wireless network, i got the login) , it connected and signal is strong.

Howver i just can't seem to surf any website at all.

When i tried to go: Google

It'll load for a while, the the status bar turn the web address i typed to: www.www.google.com.com and still no result showed up.

Often times these school networks require additional information to log in. One I know of specifically requires your mac address to be loaded into their system. Using internet explorer, try bringing up msn.com or something simple. See if you're redirected to a splash page with more information on how to log in to the network.
You may want to contact the schools IT dept, as they'll help you with any additional information. They don't make their free setups bullet proof, just wander proof. I'm thinking that is what's holding you back.

I am using an Aztech DSL600EW wireless modem / router. It is hooked up directly to a desktop at home. I connect to it wirelessly on my laptop which I use at work and at home.

The problem is weird - after connecting for about 21-23 minutes (never more, never less) - the wireless connection on my laptop would fail. I cannot load up any websites - the connection is as good as dead. I'd also end up losing my local IP address.

Check your properties on you wireless card through your operating system. Sounds to me like the box that says 'allow windows to turn this device off to conserve energy' is checked or active.
