Hello all, and thanks in advance for any suggestions or ideas
I am attempting to create a slightly long range link between 2 wireless routers.
Basicly the situation is, I recently spent several week at fort lee,va training for deployment to iraq. Their was no internet access inside the building however their was a pay for internet service about a block away (a short block might I add) this becamse a problem to some, if not all of the members of my unit. I started thinking of adding some range to my wifi card.. obisouly an antenna would be the solution... however being the generous type I wanted to share this connection with everyone else in the building
note: I don't plan on stealing the internet access I just want to bring it to me... the pay for service has a utility with a logon prompt for every use attempt...
I have aquired a used transzero TR 80-15 and since tried to link my home router and an additional router using just the antenna (which has an eithernet cable might I add) I'v successfully been able to connect from the end point router via wifi to the first router hosting my internet connection and reach my config manager (192.168.1.1 as most routers would have it) but can't make the path to the internet ...
Hope someone here has an idea and again appriciate your time
