Wifi and Wired working at home - Wifi not working at the cafe
Hello to you, technicians. I have a special situation i am trying to understand..
I am using a laptop (Win XP) connected through wire at home to access the internet, I use wifi sometimes when i go to my bed. It's working fine.
But since i installed the wire connection, my computer won't connect to the wifi's cafe.
Here i use a static IP with the configuration inside Tcp/ip. At the cafe i put back to DCHP in TCP/ip with a reboot, (even a few reboots)
My laptop is enable to connect to the router at the cafe, i get the connected status but i can't see any webpage, it's also impossible to connect to MSN.
Problem seems to be the DNS has the troubleshoot tests in MSN:
"Your DNS appears unable to resolve IP address.
and i got a second error for "key ports"
The final message is:
Failed to connect to the service. this could be due to improper proxy or firewall settings. Please review your FW and Prx settings.. see the instructions...
I tried to do things inside Ipconfig but nothing is working..
I also have a few informations from IP config at the cafe
What could i do to restore the connection at the cafe? How can i configure my DNS to resolve IP ?it was working for the others and usually for me too. I actually i am on my wifi at home, it's working fine i have no problems, the cable is working fine too.
