Wired external HD in wireless network

I dont know if here is the best place but...

I have an USB Iomega external HD and would like to put it available in my wireless network.

I have an Acer notebook and a wireless router. Everything is goingo well. I can normaly acces internet and download. But I would like to access my external HD without cables...

Is that possible?

I hope anyone can help me!
