Default wireless network disconnecting

i have a linksys wireless-g.. it constantly disconnects, after every time i connect, at some point it (usually very soon) it goes from 'connected' to 'automatic' in the wireless network menu where my network is displayed.. i have to refresh network list every time, and go through the same process repeatedly..
