Default Wireless problem

Hello. I'm having a problem connecting two PCs to my wireless router.

The router is a 2Wire Home Portal. The router is configured to use 802.11b/g on channel 11.

I have two PCs, 1 has a Linksys Wireless B USB nic and the other has a built in wireless G NIC (IBM Thinkpad). Both machines are in the same room.

With the laptop off, my desktop (Wireless maintains a solid connection. However, as soon as I turn on the laptop, the desktop connection drops and does not come back until I power off the laptop. During this time, the laptop works fine.

Any ideas? Thanks!!

Does your router have any settings such as maximum number of clients (one for example) at any time or some type of security setting as such?
