Default Wireless router question

I bought a d-link wireless router (dir-625) a little over a month ago. Everything is fine, but the 30 day trial of network magic is expired. All I want to do is, lock my router so noone and access it. Is there a free program I can download? Or can I just use Windows network setup?

What do you mean by "lock" it? Do you mean encrypting the connection so no one can access your routers wireless signal?

You don't need Network Magic to do that. Just look for the security or encryption section of your router's settings. There, you can set your password and authentication type. Just don't use WEP, it can be hacked in under a minute, from what I've heard. WPA would work fine.

I think he wants to keep people from altering his settings.

Set an administrator password. You could have done trhat anytime; it does not affect the warranty.

On page 69 of the users manual.
