wireless router to wired router with AP not working
I have a network setup as follows and can not get internet from the the wireless router but can see the rest of the network and access folders etc
DSL Modem speedstream has been working well for years
this is plugged into the wan port of a speedstream router 2614
IP 192.168.1.1
255.255.255.0
NAT on
DHCP on
Firewall ON
2 computers connected everything works fine
Linksys WAP54G plugged into the speedstream 2614 as well
static IP 192.168.1.245
255.255.255.0
default gateway 192.168.1.1
SSID EMS channel 6 AP client mode mac addy of a linksys wrt300n is listed
security wep mac addy filter is off
Second router
Linksys wrt300n
static IP 192.168.1.2
255.255.255.0
NAT off, DHCP server off, firewall off, dynamic routing ON
Internet connection type Automatic DHCP
nothing in the mac tables
static routing entries
destination 192.168.1.0
255.255.255.0
gateway 192.168.1.1
Wireless settings match the WAP54G channel wep etc.
set for wireless g mode only
everything can ping evrything else fine
arp -a on speedstream side shows everything
arp -a on linksys wrt300n side shows only the machine and the router at 192.168.1.2
1 machine currently plugged into a lan port on the wrt300n for testing
I can share files folders etc in both directions with no problem
I can not access the net from the wrt300n side.
The goal is to have an extension of the lan in another building about 100 ft away and can not run over head wires or underground easily if at all.
This is making me crazy and have spent way too much time on it any help would be apprciated
