Default Can I connect a Desktop to a Cell Tower without a phone?

I can see 2 Cellphone Towers from my cabin.
Can I connect a wireless Desktop to a service there
without having a phone?

What hardware would I need?

I am afraid you need a NIC and an account provided by your mobile carrier/ you should contact your carrier.

As far as technology is concerned, of course youcan!!!

Most of the carriers have USB data cards available utilizing EVDO on CDMA or GPRS/Edge on GSM. Monthly rates vary with the carriers along with data speeds and data limits. Go to the towers and see if they have any identifing signs then get a data card from one of the carriers.
