Can you help me identify where a post was first made?

Hello - first post here!

I'd be most grateful if someone could advise me of where messages in the sub-forums are 'collected'.

In particular, there was a recent post with the subject of WHAT IS ISLAM? in the 'alt.computer.security' sub group. The OP was Kaka and the message was responded to by David H. Lipman

However, when using any one of a number of news servers, accessing Usenet, the first post showing is the one from Mr Lipman.

I'd simply like to know *where* Kaka made his/her initial post.

It has been suggested to me that the reason is simply that some news servers weed out SPAM - others do not.

If they *do* - one is left only with any response showing, viz Re: .......
