Default Nokia 3200

The Nokia 3200 is a mobile phone, part of the Nokia Expression (youth) series. It is based on the Nokia Series 40 platform. The phone has an integrated CIF camera, XHTML browser, alarm clock, flashlight, and FM stereo radio with a 128x128 12-bit (4096) color screen. The phone has multimedia features such as picture and text messaging. It also has Java games. The phone has an extensive calendar with a lunar calendar. The flashlight is located under the phone and is activated by holding the "star" (asterisk) key. The camera is on the back of the phone. The 3200 can also play both polyphonic and monophonic ringtones. The most interesting feature of this phone is that you can create your own faceplates.

Its successor is the Nokia 3220.

In TV

The Nokia 3200 was featured in the 2005 and 2006 series of the British TV programme Doctor Who, as the phone carried by the Ninth & Tenth Doctors' assistant Rose Tyler. The Ninth Doctor modified the phone in the second episode of the first series, The End of the World, enabling her to make calls through time. It can also receive signals where ordinary mobiles cannot, such as the steel-shielded Cabinet Room in World War Three. The Doctor also called Rose from his TARDIS; and fittingly, his caller display icon was a miniature picture of a police box. It was later replaced by a Samsung D500.
