Default Nokia E62

The Nokia E62 is a smartphone from the Eseries range, an S60 platform third edition device with qwerty keyboard targeting business users. As of Q4 2006, it is only sold in the North American market by Cingular and in Mexico by Telcel. The E62 is similar to the E61. The most notable differences with the E61 is the lack of support for 802.11 WiFi and W-CDMA (UMTS) 3G

I have purchased a Nokia E62 through Ebay and though I have not received the phone, I have discovered that is locked to Cingular. I am in possession of T-Mobile service. I contacted the sellers and was informed to Google "Unlocking Nokia E62" which I have and I was led to this forum as well as several others.

I have several questions. Firstly, is it possible to unlock the Nokia E62 to be compatible with T-Mobile? I have read that a Cingular SIM card is necessary, but I do not have one. Also, what are the specific codes needed to unlock the phone, and do I have to contact Cingular to receive the codes? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

The Nokia E62 boasts a vibrant and sharp screen, a full QWERTY keyboard, and a full array of wireless options (Bluetooth, UMTS). The Symbian smart phone also has solid call quality, a speakerphone, the ability to view and edit Office documents, and robust e-mail capabilities.
