15km link near Palmerston North

Hi all,

I live in Linton, about 12km from the outskirts of Palmy North. We cannot get ADSL even thought there is a Telecom cabinet (with fibre optics in it) about 1km from my back door.

I am looking at putting a radio link in to the city:

Palmy <-------15km line-of-sight-------> Linton hills

and a community intranet:

Linton hills <--------5km max----------> My house

+----5km max-------> Friends house
+----5km max-------> .
+----5km max-------> .
+----5km max-------> .
+----5km max-------> Neighbours house

I'm wondering if anyone has done a similiar thing that would be available for a chat and whether there would be a good website (I have looked but haven't found) that would give a design template for this project.
