Any nodes in Oranga/One Tree Hill?

I know next to nothing about the whole Wireless thing, but I'm interested, and I think I have enough money to get a basic setup going. However, I don't want to fork out the money, unless there's someone nearby whom I can connect to. I live in Horotutu Road, One Tree Hill (or maybe it's Oranga - nobody really seems to know for sure). Are there any nodes in the area, and if so, could someone give me a bit of advice about getting started?

If you have a view of the city you may be able to pick up my node.
Its on newton road. Not too sure of locations though but worth a look.

I'm in Epsom and have a clear view of One Tree Hill and Manukau. Would be interested if there were any nodes going up.

I have a wifi setup here at home (linksys, 802.11b) that I used to use with a couple of Apple PowerBooks, but that's as much experience as I have.
