Im guessing that you are refering to the nzwireless.co.nz based in auckland? I think there are a few nzwireless.org members who are connected to them but not sure.

www.nzwireless.co.nz is a commercial ISP
www.nzwireless.org is a community based site

Totally different, however yes there are people using nzwireless (the ISP). Do a search there are some pretty decent threads about the service and what not.
