Default Ideas

Can you give us a idea of how you have set up a hotspot. I can set it up but people have trouble loggin into the repeater hence why we looked at differnet software before we buy.

At present we are using 5.8ghz gear to provide the backhauls and zyxel 2.4 equipment at the hotspot end. I have just ordered some outdoor stuff to try and do the same sort of thing within housing estates.

Technically its a completely bridged network, with the mirotik dishing out IP's to anything that asks for one. Because we run multiple networks over the same kit we are using dhcp pools, one for authd clients and one for non authd. We then have a FreeRadius server that handles the account side of things.

Its working well except for the fact that I can't get an error to appear when someones account runs out of time.

Thumbs up

Hello,

we are using a hotspot software from hotspotsystem.com. It can be installed to lots of routers like Mikrotik, Ubiquity, Linksys, etc. and it comes with a built-in revenue stream.
