Can i access Internet by WIFI for free in auckland cbd?

I just bought a PDA and i want to access the internet by WIFI,is there any free way to do it?Thanks~

Heyman. I dont know much about this technology. I dont have any wireless cards, but Im looking at joining in soon. One thing Im fairly sure of; getting internet access is like getting fuel for your car, you can access the gas station for free but I bet there wouldnt be many gas stations that will give you free petrol.
But, I do hope someone does reply saying Im wrong, and that there is a way of free internet access

Not really... you can use a program to sniff the Airwaves.. then try and connect to them and try and get an IP etc... then see if you can get internet access.. but with WiFi gear being more available these days at an affordable price... Most Businesses are locking down there WiFi connections
