i think the omni's going to be about 8dbi, not too sure at the moment, only took about 4 hours to build :P

pigtail will cost about $30, and N connector will be about $2 i think

Hey noodles,

How did this omni work in the end? Any chance of a breakdown of how it is made and materials required?

Default Slotted Waveguides

I am interested in making a slotted waveguide antenna - these are the ones made out of a 1 metre length of 100x50mm aluminium rectangular tube (3mm thick).

A 5metre length costs around $170 which works out to $34 per antenna.

I am looking for 3 or 4 other people to buy 1metre lengths cut off my 5metre length....anyone keen??

where did you get that price from

i also have a truck and could pick it up because 5 meters is not going to fit in a car

i would want to make a 32 slot one

Direct from Ullrich Aluminium. Its listed at
http://ullrich-aluminium.co.nz/rehollow.htm

They can do half lengths, but 2.5m is a waste as only 2 antennae can be made, while 5m will make 5 of them.
