Hi,

Yes I can see the Mountain,
No to One Tree Hill - Trees block the path.
On my northern horizon there is a large row of trees the block everything.

Yes nodeb #169

Once I get the mast up I was hoping I may be able to see you.
I think I know where you are. The photos of you house look familiar. I think I know your Father.

The next step after I get the mast up is to get hold of a slotted antenna to add to the range.

Default Added 2m height today

Ullrich failed to show up with the aluminium for the mast so have put the DSE AP on the side of the Chimney (7m AGL) in the equipment cabinet.
got 230v in the cabinet now so have also put the switch up there as well.

Anybody know where to get RP-SMA female bulk-head style connectors, so I can convert the DSE AP to external aerial style.
DSE sell RP-SMA male to N connector pigtails for $26.

isnt the antenna on your AP removable? I thought DSE's ones were, hence half the point of them selling the pigtail...

It'd also probably be easier to pass a cable through a grommet into the equipment box as apposed to mounting a connector.. this makes the whole thing a tad more weatherproof, otherwise you'll have a hard time using self-amalgmating (aka vulcanising) tape to seal such a connection

Default DSE Ap

It has 2 fixed dinky rubber ducks.
I will probably just bodge something up to give me an N Female.

The AP is mounted in the equipment cabinet (Industrial electrical cabinet) on the side of the chimney. The cabinet is Polycarbonate and IP66 rated.
I have made cable entrys on the bottom for the ext. aerial cables, when fitted.
I have enet running down to the Router/Firewall in the office.

I have a bunch of Borg gear (900+ 8 slot waveguide) on order so when Ullrich Aluminium front up and the gear arrives this will be the main station.

I am using the DSE until then.
After that I want to fitt 2 Omni's to it and use it as the backup.
