Some lat/long measurements are in Degrees, Minutes, seconds. (although it may not look that way)

You have to convert the minutes/seconds into a decimal fraction.

So S45 36 45 (Deg,Min,Sec) would be roughly S45.60

Limit your nodedb decimal places to 2, so forget about the seconds, just divide the minutes by 60.

OK....
My Lat and Long are
-36.5326 and 174.3393

converted to DMS
-36 deg 31' 57.36"
174 deg 20' 21.48"

So what numbers do I enter this into Nodedb

If I enter any of these numbers in it says its outside the allowable limit.

Cheers

Default NodeDB

Does anyone know how to change or update your AP on nodedb.com ?
I want to update my record but can not find where to do it on the web site and have emailed the person who "owns" our area with no response.

Click on the Login button on the menu

https://www.nodedb.com/login.php?fromloc=ht...nd/ni/auckland/?

Then click on your node, then click on "Edit this node entry" in the menu

Nice and easy

Default Site

Use the site on listed above, locate your street on the map and look in the taskbar at the long and lat. Write them down and put them into the calculator to get the ones that nodedb can use.

Then you will have correct location

Major,

You know you should leave things about maps and co-ordinates to those who know what they are doing. You "ground based" people!!!!

WOokie!
