hi, thanks for taking interest in our project
we hope to keep the cost of nodes down as much as possible, i'm unsure of the costs at the moment, but it should be around about $500 for a full node, or $300 for a client (directional aerial connecting to a node)
As for hackers, your LAN won't be accessable to the wireless LAN if you set up a gateway between the 2 networks. We also hope to have some security systems in place to stop people from war driving or gaining illegal access and causing havoc. At the moment we're still evaluating the best options for both hardware and network security, but we'll keep you informed. |
