Default Point to Multipoint vs AP to Client...

Hi Guys,
does anyone have any views on either Point to Multipoint or Access Point to Client Mode AP setups?
Has anyone got some thoughts on which one provides a better/stronger connection.
Our entire network is Linksys/Cisco 54MB and 11MB units, currently in AP mode with clients connecting in client mode and 54MB bridged backbone.
Wondering if we would have better results if we changed our AP's to point to multipoint mode and our clients to point to point?

Default wan

ha.. i am just working on the same thing!

from what i can gather, this is what my final setup is going to look like.

Clients -> WG, pigtail , 200 mw .B ap -> UTP ->.G point-Multi point link, Parabolic -> ".G running hostAP", utp to servers

The above would be a tipical spoke in a hub and skope wan. My hub being the "hostAp box"
