Pictures from my roof to hopefully see if others are in range.

Unfortunatly not good enough to really pick out detail, but maybe someone can spot there house or something.

Hi Richard.

Yeah that fuzzy blob is Herald sland, and yep, that is pretty damn close to my house, (its just out of sight behind that grey roof behind that powerpole) How ar you progressing with ur AP?
Would you like to have a play with this MN500 to see if u can get any more joy out of it than myself?

Still waiting to hear back on the ETA of the fab-corp bulk buy. Im gonna see if I can get setons place with a directional since hes the only one that has something up yet it would seem. Im not hopefull with all the trees that way, but who knows. I got it at the end of a street 4 up with just the antenna on the wireless card so who knows.

With the darkness and being quite busy on things around the house it is kindof a secondary project at the mo, cleaning up after the new cat seems to take most of the time.

I have been talking to someone about a 4-5 metre pole for the omni, but that looks like serious money with guy wires and stuff like that so maybe not right now.

Im pulling the hardware together to make up a linux box for an accesspoint, im gonna hopefully have it all less the card by the next workshop, but I could try getting one of the PCI-pc card carriers and using one of my cardbus wireless cards.
