Need to test a shot between
Agency Lane and the water tank 3kms down Whangaparaoa.

Not sure of objects in the frenzel zone will impact greatly on signal.

What are you doing this for?

lol juts curious as i live inbetween where your doing this and wondered if there are any AP's near me..but im very new to this. And wireless is not in orewa/whangaparaoa yet does anyone else live up here? If so do you know when then plan to extend it up here. I found a word about it bottom of this page - http://www.world-net.co.nz/products/?menu=megapass

Quote:
Coverage area will extend to greater Auckland region include Albany, Orewa, Dannemora and Howick

we arent really here to provide internet, yet, tho my AP does, it is limited, but free. but yes we are slowly extending into your area, but getting our bandwidth up ther would require quite a few over-hill repeaters. I am working with friends to establish a network which will try to provide free internet but we may have to extend to limiting free-net and providing a faster pay-service. simply because our free-speeds wouldnt be satisfactory.

I do try to get the FREE aspect in but it is not always possible.

Charges would be minimal, even if we did get headed towards the World-Net solution. maybe 39.95/mo. anyway that to consider once more nodes are up

well up my way you need to get over the albany hill i think..although further out on the peninsula you can see the sky tower clear view, not sure how far it is tho...also maybe from torbay is another way to the coast..

because torbay and the bays can get wireless internet, and its not too far from torbay over the sea to the peninsula but u gta get over it to orewa where there is a tall building where alot of people can see it

we would have trouble with regulations considering that is a ~30k distance from Whangaparaoa to CBD, with an extra 3k to greenlane, we'd need to have repeaters every 4-7k up the coast, and yes there is the albany hill problem. our network to begin with will be like the borg network restricted in location. until we begin to afford expandability. our equipment will be a propietary mix of other .11x manufacturers, but it will be a 54mbps/108mbps backhaul and a 11b client-side, so every repeater will broadcast from a W/G

Red face Why outrage 90 pipe is so heavy compared to hatori pipe

A: we designed this with longer header to better clearance of the trex 700 fuel tank, also we do once piece header design to eleminate o-ring usages that watches causes leakage. Also we design baffle attachement to the pipe walls by welding not press fit to ensure the baffles are not getting loose due to vibration. These add up the weight. It is 290g including everything and the hatori is 260g. Yes it's about 15% more in weight but it offers a lot of features cheap and advantages besides the great price
