Due to my business I will need to get on the internet quite a lot. Can anyone recommend a way of doing this? In the UK you can get GPRS cards for your laptops and use it that way. Is there anything similar in NZ or perhaps a nationwide wireless network I can subscribe to?
Thanks in advance for any help. |
you can get cdma/gprs cards here, but they tend to be quite costly and the performance is pretty poor... Best bet is to look for a second hand one on
www.trademe.co.nz
Otherwise you have the option of brand new from Telecom:

Or brand new from Vodafone:

If you're spending a lot of time in the larger centres, you'd be better off getting a short term wifi connection through the likes of Reach (Auckland) and CafeNet (Wellington)
If you need to do a lot of data transferring, you can use
www.nzwireless.co.nz through the cafenet network in wellington for flatrate wireless broadband:

Or you could become an Xtra customer, which is about as appealing as drinking liquid HIV, anyway, and use the Telecom Hotspot service:

Then just get a plain jane dial up connection and use PSTN/POTS anywhere else.
Hope this helps
