Default Belkin F5d7230-4 worries

Hi,

I have just bought the above Belkin router. I was really pleased because I have managed to blag (UK for get for nothing) a router from my ISP providing I go to the local PC world. I am a bit concerned about security problems. As far as I can see the router only has WEP encryption. I ideally want to use a couple of computers to access all types of information. I am beggining to think that I should take this router back. Any opinions would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks.

What would stop you from just using the Belkin to connect your devices to wirelessly?

Try reading the manual. I just checked and WPA is discribed on page 55.

If you need it the manual can be downloaded from here

You may also want to check that you have the latest firmware

I hope this helps.

Regards

Fred
