Default access point disconnects, no internet

This may not be a unique problem but here goes. I am an I.T. guy for 6 hotels in my area. All have wireless access for the guests. I get a continuous problem of losing the wireless internet connection at all of the hotels periodically. Some lose the connection 2 or 3 times a day and some lose it maybe once a month or less frequent but the common theme is they all lose it. and it usually takes a reset of the modem, router and access points to reconnect. Our ISP (without naming names but rhymes with socks) isnt much help. Ive run ping plotter and checked event viewer on our computers with out any luck. Most of the time the internet is available to the LAN but the WLAN is out. We have a wide variety of name brand access points from Linksys to Compex so i assume its not a hardware problem. They couldnt all have the same flaw or incompatibility. There are cordless phones in the area in some of the hotels but i cannot find a common denominator that they all share to point this too.. any thoughts? thanks... bunk999

Have you tried getting the tech support at your unhelpful service provider to just renew the modem connection from their end?

It's a hassle, of course, but if it works, you can do it every time and it'll spread some of the misery where it actually belongs.

Usually, a cordless phone will bring down wifi connections but not crash the router. It does happen, though, and it might be worth it to just change up to a higher channel.

That is an excellent idea Geo. anytime i can spread the misery it makes it a little easier to deal with .. i figured the cordless phones couldnt cause the kind of disconnection i am experiencing.. thats funny you suggested a higher channel because my AP's are set for ch. 1 or 2 because the other wireless networks in the immediate area are all using 6-11.. and that IS a common denominator now that i think about it. ill let ya know how it goes...... thanks Geo
